Learning Skills Program Resources

The Learning Skills Program has a number of handouts with strategies that can be used to address issues related to motivation.

Individual Help

Since motivation is such a complex issue, we recommend that you not rely entirely on self-diagnosis. A meeting with a Personal Counsellor or a Learning Skills Counsellor may help you unravel the factors that are causing the problem. You can make an appointment with staff of the Learning Skills Program: Joe Parsons or David Palmer-Stone would be happy to meet with you as soon as you notice a decrease in motivation that may affect your academic performance.

Courses

The Modular Learning Skills Course contains information related to motivation, time management, active learning strategies, and related issues: Module 3, When and How Much Should I Study; and Module A: Self-Control.
