Practice Multiple Choice Test Feedback: Question 6
|
Level of learning of a multiple choice question is determined
by
(a) the goals and objectives stated in the course
syllabus
(b) the level of Bloom's Taxonomy that best fits the educational
goal of the question
(c) the level of generality of the abstract terms within the
question
(d) the level of learning required by the task you must perform
to decide which alternative to choose
The correct answer is (d). Choice (b) is "word salad" -- it might
sound likely, if you don't really know the answer, and have to
guess, but it simply strings together technical terms. Choices
(a) and (c) are also tempting options, but do not hit the target.
The course syllabus will not necessarily apply to every question,
and abstract terms do not necessarily indicate abstract tasks.
Level of learning: Analysis. This
question requires you to know and be able to apply defining
characteristics of an abstract category.
